Nelson Mandela

The Mandela Supplementary School provides practical and direct learning support to young people aged 5-16. Learning support is provided in English and Mathematics. In addition, the school offers valuable confidence building and cultural respect through Black History Studies. We have a team of qualified and experienced teachers, who are committed in supporting the learning needs of every child. Our subjects adhere to & support the national curriculum.  Homework is given regularly at the discretion of the teachers.

Throughout the year we incorporate additional learning activities, such as Day Trips, Sports Day as well as special events for members and parents throughout the year and our end of year Kwanzaa celebration in December.

Parents are expected to support their child’s learning at the Mandela School by attending our parents' consultation days, termly parents' meetings and events, educational training workshops and our annual Achievement Day, where we acknowledge and celebrate the hard work and commitment of the students.
